A Message from John J. Jordan '80, Director of Admissions
Dear Students and Parents, Thank you for your interest in Archmere Academy. Either based on what you may hear, or through your own investigation of our school and this website, we hope you will learn that Archmere is a high school that provides an outstanding academic, moral and social environment for motivated, well-rounded students. For those of you who are more quantitative thinkers, you will notice that Archmere has an outstanding record of college placement, SAT and AP averages and a very impressive record of college-bound scholarships and grants. For those who tend to be more qualitative, Archmere is a school with tradition, compassion, engagement and heart. Our students are rigorously challenged academically, yet fully supported in and out of the classroom by a dedicated and knowledgeable faculty. All the while they are offered opportunities for leadership, service and personal growth. Our size of approximately 500 students allows Archmere students the benefits of an intimate enough environment where small classes, opportunity for involvement and a sense of community abound, but a large enough environment where students are not limited in the number of opportunities, diversity and overall strength of programs.
