Archmere Students Perform in The Nutcracker Ballet

On December 12 and 13, several Archmere students performed in The Nutcracker Ballet at The Playhouse on Rodney Square with the Wilmington Ballet studio. Performers included Gia Mariano '18, Beatrix Moore' 19 and Charlotte Moore '18, with Maestro Allan Scott ('90) and Emily Jasani '18 as assistant to the conductor. This is the company's 49th annual production and the students performed alongside Joffrey Ballet principals Victoria Jaiani amd Temur Suluashvili. On December 18 and 19, Alsion Lobo '17 performed as the Snow Queen and in the coffee/Arabian dance portion of The Nutcracker Ballet at The Mitchell Hall Theater at the University of Delaware. Alison dances for the Mid-Atlantic Ballet company. The student dancers and instructors of Mid-Atlantic Ballet (MAB) have been staging The Nutcracker at Mitchell Hall each year since 2002. This year, two former members of the renowned Parsons Dance Company based in New York City joned the cast.
