Archmere Robotics Team Competes in State Championship

After winning the First Place Alliance Captain Award at the Southeastern PA Qualifier Tournament at the Pennsylvania FIRST Tech Challenge in January, the Archmere Robotics team, the "RobAuktics", advanced and competed in the state championship on Saturday. FIRST Tech Challenge is a robotics program for middle and high school students who use the power, excitement and fun of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with hands-on, minds-on activities - all with robots. The team, along with thier alliances, advanced to the final game and played for two rounds. They came home with the "2015 - 2016 Pennsylvania Championship Tournament Finalist Alliance” trophy. The students are mentored by Chemistry Teacher Dr. Sharon Archer and Computer & Physical Sciences Teacher Yuchen Xun.
