Caroline Quinn '17 Earns Rave Reviews as Jo in "Little Women The Musical"

Caroline Quinn '17 stars as "Jo" in the production of Little Women The Musical at The Wilmington Drama League, now through May 1. Under the direction of Rebecca May Flowers, the musical showcases some of the area’s best up-and-coming young female talent, including Archmere sophomore Giavanna Mariano as "Mrs. Kirk". The show opened on April 22nd and had three productions this past weekend, earning positive reviews from the Delaware News Journal. Specifically, the performance of Caroline Quinn '17 was singled out by the critics who stated, "She is a natural performer whose acting appears effortless, with gorgeous vocals and personality that lights up the stage. As the show’s ambitious protagonist, she is on stage in nearly every scene of the nearly two and one-half hour production. Sometimes she’s comic, sometimes devastating – every performance note is hit impressively. By the end, you feel as though you know Jo."

Caroline's portrayal of "Jo" was also reviewed by acclaimed Broadway World, which stated, "Ms. Quinn's nuanced portrayal of Jo March never waivers. Energetic, confident, sublime or pensive, one can see why Jo March is on many performer's bucket list of dream roles. Ms. Quinn exhibits a promising command of the stage. Her focused acting and lovely vocals sculpt the character of Jo March into the dynamic young woman readers of the novel have come to know and love."
