LANGUAGE AWARDS 2016
 
GERMAN: The AATG National German Exam recognizes the achievements of those students in Level II and higher.
 
Representing German level 2 was Zachary Pease ’15 who placed in the 91st percentile and Kurt Clements ’15 who placed in the 86th percentile. Zachary Pease received a Gold Certificate and Kurt Clements received a Silver Certificate. Representing German level 3 Mareike Van Wie ’16 who placed in the 98th percentile and Matthew Oslin ’15 who placed in the 91st percentile. Each received a Gold Certificate and a Delaware Sängerbund Award. Representing German level 4 was Anna South who placed in the 98th percentile. She received a Gold Certificate and the Antonie Ehrlich Award. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
 
FRENCH: Congratulations to our French students for their stellar performance in the National French Contest. This challenging exam, sponsored by the American Association Teachers of French, tests grammar, vocabulary, auditory skills and reading comprehension. Over 85,000 students participated in the national exam in March.  Chapeau bas to all of our participants!  The number in parentheses represents the placement in the State of Delaware.

Level IA:

SPANISH: This year over 140,000 students participated in the National Spanish Exam. 19 Archmere students scored above the 95th percentile earning gold certificates, 38 students scored between the 85th and 94th percentile earning silver certificates, and 30 students earned bronze certificates, scoring from the 75th to the 84th percentile.
