Archmere Coaches Reach Milestones

Last week, the Archmere boys' soccer coach Bob Bussiere reached 400 career victories with a 7-2 win over Conrad on Oct. 4, and the girls' volleyball coach Mary Pat Kwoka hit 300 career wins with a 3-0 victory over Ursuline on Friday.

Dave Oswinkle, Archmere Athletic Director, states to The News Journal, “If you’re looking for structure and system, both of them give it,” Oswinkle said. “That’s the reason they have the records that they have over the years they’ve been coaching. They believe in structure and building programs.”

Mary Pat Kwoka has coached at Archmere for the last 11 years, with assistant coach Nancy Melvin at her side the entire time. She has coached eight teams to Delaware’s Final Four and won her second state title with the Auks in 2014. Bob Bussiere began his career in 1981 and has been at Archmere since 2005. His all time record now stands at 401-186-57.
