Archmere Seniors Win Awards at MTNA Vocal Competition

Archmere senior Caroline Quinn won first place at the Music Teachers National Association vocal competition “Senior Performance” for the state of Pennsylvania. Caroline sang an art song in French, an art song in English and a Broadway song. The Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association is an incorporated, non-profit educational organization committed to the pursuit of excellence in music teaching.
  
Archmere senior Alexander Weir received an honorable mention at the Pennsylvania competition, and senior Keelin Reilly was the second place winner for the Delaware competition. Caroline, Alexander and Keelin are students of Mary Ellen Schauber, and coached by Chris McCloskey. Senior Emma Stovicek, a soprano, also won honorable mention at the Delaware MTNA Competition. She was accompanied by Ruth Ann Stovicek and studies with Emily Samson Tepe.
