Two Teams of Archmere Students Earn WordWright Honors

In this year's second meet of the WordWright Challenge, two teams of Archmere students won high honors.  Held in December, the Challenge, a national competition for high school students requiring close reading and analysis of prose and poetry, included 600 school teams from all across the country.  Archmere's eleventh graders tied for ninth place in the nation and the twelfth graders tied for sixth place in the nation.

Students who won high individual honors in the meet included juniors Hanna Palczuk, Peter Sabini, John Vaile, Kiki Lawlor, Megan Reynolds, Taylor Tucker, Kylie Wright and Jessica Zbranak.  High honors for Archmere seniors included Preet Bhaidaswala, Emily Dentinger, Anna South, Kathleen Dempsey, Sarah Dlugos, Maddie Guido, Mark Melvin, Mathew Oslin, Emily Simons and Raylin Xu.  The students were supervised by Stephen Klinge.
