Our Mission
Archmere Academy is a Catholic, Norbertine college preparatory school, valuing community, respect, zeal, reverence, and wisdom. Nurturing body and soul, mind and heart, Archmere focuses on the whole person through academic excellence, faith reflection, social development, and service to others. Inspired by its heritage, Archmere cultivates empathetic leaders- young men and women prepared for every good work.

Since opening its doors in 1932, Archmere Academy is known for its rigorous academic program. The academic disciplines foster critical thinking skills, strengthen analytical reasoning, and foster intellectual creativity through each department. Boys Lacrosse Team Fundraises for Cancer
Read MoreFor the past few weeks, the boys lacrosse team has been participating in a Stick It To Cancer fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. At the Stick It To Cancer Nationwide, participants and volunteers come together to honor cancer survivors, spread the word about reducing cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives. According to the lacrosse team's website, they have "formed this team because cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks." Their fundraising team page is currently ranked #1 out of 49 teams. -
Juniors Ivy Adams and Arlene Chiu Take National Chemistry Olympiad Exam
Read MoreOn Wednesday, April 17, Archmere hosted the Delaware National Chemistry Olympiad Exam sponsored by the Delaware section of the American Chemical Society. The top chemistry students across the state competed for a spot on the US National Olympiad Team based on their chemistry problem-solving skills and laboratory techniques. Several students from Archmere participated in the Delaware Chemistry Olympiad. Ivy Adams ‘25 and Arlene Chiu '25 scored high enough to qualify for the National Chemistry Olympiad. In addition, Grace Yang ’25 was top ten in the state. -
Archmere Students Participate in Youth in Government Conference

The YMCA Delaware High School Youth in Government (YIG) Conference took place from March 22 to 24, 2024 at Legislative Hall and Kent County Courthouse in Dover, DE. Around 150 students from across the state gathered to participate in mock legislative bill debates and mock appellate court trials over the course of the weekend.
