CIALFO is an international online college search and organizational tool that Archmere utilizes to assist our students in the college search process. CIALFO provides a search engine, allowing students to easily generate a list of colleges that meet certain criteria, such as geographical location, majors and size of enrollment. It also provides access to a wide range of information about each college as well as numerous colleges.

Students receive access to the system in the spring semester of their sophomore year. Counselors instruct sophomores in small groups on how to use the program. We require each student to complete the personality inventories Do What They Are (MBTI) and Multiple Intelligences is an introduction exercise and career exploration assignment. Parents will receive information about signing into the program at Parent Night in the student’s junior year. CIALFO provides as easy way for students to keep track of applications, sign up for college representatives visiting Archmere, research careers, receive recommended tasks from their counselor, and view and research colleges and scholarships. The College Counseling Office will use CIALFO to submit application documents to almost all colleges and universities.

CIALFO is also the main communication tool used by the College Counseling Office. We use CIALFO as a resource site for our documents, links to commonly used sites, and other college application and financial aid resources.
