Candidate's Statement

"I have had the opportunity of creating close relationships at Archmere Academy and having being mentored by staff and faculty. I have had the pleasure of having met very ambitious and driven alumni within these last couple of years, many of which I still keep in touch to this day. I want to be on the Alumni Council because I want to be a diverse face in the crowd, the board has become increasingly inclusive, by being made up by individuals that ensures that alumni can see themselves in this group that is meant to represent them. I want to be able to help increase the student experience for our high school students, be a resource for them, an ear to listen to as to reassure them that an Archmere Academy education will set them up for the rest of their lives. I want to be able to help better engage parents and be an avenue to reaffirm decisions being made by the Academy through their frustrations. Lastly, I want to be an example for fellow alumni, current students and future alumni, of seeing the success of being engaged as an alumni. This community of individuals is unmatched and engagement from all ends is what will help people see that. During my time at Archmere, I was able to be a bridge for my class and I want to continue being that for my class and alumni everywhere as we grow older to keep the connection that we had while roaming the halls of the Academy alive as we all achieve higher education, get married, have children, and become parents of future Auk generations."
