Girls Basketball Moves on to Quarterfinals of State Tournament

On Friday night, March 6th, the Archmere girls basketball team traveled to Woodbridge High School to play the Blue Raiders at home in the second round of the DIAA State Tournament. After a 10-point deficit at halftime, the Auks pulled away, ending the night with a 52-43 victory.
Coach Dan Pisani was interviewed by The News Journal after the game, saying, "We made some small adjustments, just changed a few little things we wanted to do,” Pisani said. “The girls really just came out and executed. We’ve always known this is a special group. They proved it to us tonight.”

Lauren Kim '22 and Madison Stewart '20 each scored 14 points for Archmere, and Fiona Teaney '20 added 10 points. Archmere will play tonight at top-seeded Conrad in the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.
