Monthly College Counseling Update: March 2021
Decisions Are Rolling In...
Final round of application decisions for seniors will be released over Spring Break and everyone will transition to final enrollment decisions. It’s an exciting time of year and one we relish every Spring. College Counseling will be responding to emails from the Class of 2021 over vacation in order to assist students and families with decisions. Our next Senior College Coffee will be April 22nd. We’re also excited to move into the celebration season with our College T-Shirt Day on May 3rd and College Celebration events on May 13th.

Junior Family Meetings
We’ve completed about 60% of required Junior Family Meetings. If a family meeting has yet to be scheduled, please visit - https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11607878&event=359737 . By this time on the calendar a meeting should be scheduled. During the virtual week we will be offering an optional Essay Brainstorming class for juniors interested in getting an early start on the essay thought process. Information will be shared with students in the near future.

We have two webinars that we’re excited to offer this spring:
- As part of our Career Series we will be offering a Why Engineering? program on April 29th at 6:30. All students and families are welcome. More information will be sent out, if you’d like to register - https://archmereacademy.zoom.

It’s an amazing panel of professionals which includes our own Helen Laster ’18 who did a gap year before enrolling at Reed College in Portland. We’re also offering virtual Parent College Coffees for the freshman and sophomore parents. There are two dates for each, content will be the same. We will also record the programs to allow parents that cannot attend in the morning to receive the same content. We’re looking forward to the discussions.
