Sophia Liston '20 to Compete in Forensics League Grand Nationals
Sophia Liston '20 will represent Archmere Academy at the National Catholic Forensics League Grand Nationals in Washington, DC, over Memorial Day Weekend. Sophia, the first Delaware State Champion in the newly formed Delaware chapter National Speech and Debate Association, will be competing in the category of Oral Interpretation, Poetry.
Archmere is only one of four schools (Cab Calloway, Ursuline, Wilmington Charter, Archmere) to found the first Delaware chapter of the National Speech and Debate Association. Previously, Delaware was the only state without a chapter, though it has been a long-standing member of the Philadelphia Catholic Forensics League (PCFL).
