Baseball Players Compete in 2018 Carpenter Cup, Awarded Delaware All-State and All-Conference Accolades

The 33rd annual Carpenter Cup, a baseball tournament for sixteen high school All-Star teams from Eastern Pennsylvania, South and Central Jersey and Delaware, expose the region’s high school players to college recruiters and professional scouts, with playing rules that encourage coaches to use their entire roster. Each year more than 400 high school players from the tri-state area are able to showcase their skills. The Carpenter Cup has been a catalyst for many players to receive scholarships or admission to some of the country's finest universities. This year three Auks have been named to the "Delaware North" roster: Tommy Alexander '19, Michael Dellose '19 and Jack Nielsen '20.

The first two rounds of the single-elimination tournament are played at FDR Park in Philadelphia, with the semifinals and final played at Citizens Bank Park. Delaware North will take on Philadelphia Public at 9AM in its tournament opener on Thursday, June 14.

The Archmere Academy Boys' Baseball team had a successful season with a 12-7 record this spring and a run at the State Tournament for the 6th year in a row. The following players have received 2018 Delaware All-State/All-Conference recognition for their play this year:
