Archmere Academy Dramatics Presents "Peter And The Starcatcher"

Archmere Academy Theatre presents its fall play production, Peter and the Starcatcher. Peter and the Starcatcher, a play by Rick Elice, is the imaginative prequel to the Peter Pan fairy tale.

The creative ensemble of the play, in magical story-telling mode, recreates the world of Peter Pan and takes the audience on the adventure of his origin story. At times hysterically funny, and others, emotionally touching, the story of Peter Pan is a night of theatre perfect for the whole family. The show focuses on the theme of the magic of story-telling and its power to transform even the most mature adult into an awe-struck child.

Senior David Demnicki will take on the role of Peter in the play. Seniors Bella Abbrescia and Katherine Alberta play the roles of Molly and Leonard Aster, the daughter and father who escort Peter on his journey of self-discovery. Senior Kyla McAvinue plays Peter’s nemesis the evil pirate, Black Stache (who eventually becomes Captain Hook), and junior Ali Curren plays his sidekick, Smee. Junior Elise Brady and sophomore Alexis Rendel play Peter’s friends Prentiss and Ted. There will be over thirty Archmere students involved in this production on stage and on the crew.

The show will run Friday, November 9th  and Saturday, November 10th at 7pm. Tickets will be $5 for students, $10 for general admission. Please contact Brian Manelski, director, for more information.
