Broadway Teacher Spends the Day with the Cast of "The Addams Family"
This week, rehearsal for Archmere's winter musical, The Addams Family, was joined by Allison Lee, a Broadway teacher and actress who has been in Tarzan, In the Heights, as well as the original Broadway production of The Addams Family. Allison offered the fifty Archmere students in the cast and crew stories about being a Broadway actress, advice on making it in the business, and reminded the cast the keep their chins up onstage to find their light. She then watched their music numbers rehearsal and gave some criticism and advice before working with individual students on some character work. Allison works with A Class Act, a New York company that hosts Broadway workshops with students to help foster a love of theatre in students from grade school and high school.
