Archmere's Winter Musical "The Addams Family" Receives Acclaim

The Cappies, "Critics and Awards Program," is a program through which high school theatre and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers such as The Washington Post, Cincinnati Enquirer, Dallas Morning News, Kansas City Star, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. The Cappies program brought 50 students from the Greater Philadelphia area to Archmere this past weekend to review the winter musical production of The Addams Family. In this program, the students each write a review, and the best three reviews are published in local newspapers and on the Cappies website. Archmere's depiction of The Addams Family received rave reviews.

Archmere had a very successful first weekend of the winter musical production of The Addams Family. Over 700 audience members have come to see the show so far. With special thanks to student council for a very successful Spirit Night on Saturday, over 400 people saw the show on that day alone. The musical runs one more weekend, this Friday and Saturday at 7pm.
