Archmere Students Win Awards at Annual Science Fair

The 24th Annual Science Fair Serving New Castle County Middle and High School Students at Delaware Technical Community College was March 12-14, 2019. Thirty Archmere students participated in the Science Fair. Eight Archmere students won awards at the event, and six students were invited to participate in the Regional Science Fair in Philadelphia.

Sanjay Long, Andrew MacWilliams and Rohit Mathur won first place in the group division and were invited to continue in the Regional Science Fair. Allyssa Noval won 2nd place in Behavioral Science and was also invited to the Regional Science Fair. Rebecca de Heer was awarded 3rd place in Behavioral Science with an invitation to the Regional Science Fair, and Margaret Atkins won 3rd place in Physics and was also invited to the Regional Science Fair. Maggie Dempsey and Norah Prendergast earned 2nd place in a outside award from the ASM (a national group for materials science).
