Rugby Wins Mark Dombroski Cup and the Delaware 7’s State Title

On Saturday, May 11th, the Archmere Rugby team once again took on Salesianum at the Alapocas Woods Fields for the Rugby Delaware State Championship Cup. The match was named the Mark Dombroski Cup, in honor of Mark Dombroski, a  2017 Archmere graduate and rugby player who lost his life last year while at a rugby competition with St. Joseph's University in Bermuda.

In only its 7th year as an Archmere sport, the team has had much success, and this year was no different. The team won the Championship on Saturday with a score of 22-5, bringing the Mark Dombroski Cup home to Archmere. They compete in the Subaru 7's Championship next weekend on Saturday, May 18th at Alapocas.
