Girls Volleyball Makes Headlines for Win Against Conrad

"The evening was filled with big hits and even better defense from both teams. A big crowd was inside Moglia Fieldhouse for a Dig Pink match, and many of the fans were wearing pink to show their support for cancer survivors."
On Tuesday, October 15th, Archmere volleyball took on previously undefeated Conrad, 3-1. Set scores were 22-25, 27-25, 25-18 and 25-16. Conrad won the first set, but after that the Auks came out fighting.

Anchored by their libero, Hannah Wright, Archmere was able to find their focus and dominate the next few sets. “In the beginning we kind of started off not playing the way that we normally do. Then we got back into it. We started playing with our heart. We started playing as a team, together, the way we do at practices, and I feel like it all just came together,” she said.

Julia Kochie '20 led the Auks with 15 kills, and she had four blocks and 13 digs. Lauren Edmiston '20 had 11 kills and five blocks. Archmere was credited with 18 blocks. The Auks improved to 10-2 and will host Padua for Homecoming on Friday, October 18th at 6:15 p.m.
