Stephanie Silverman ’00 Exhibiting New Paintings at Delaware History Museum on December Art Loop
Archmere alumnus Stephanie Silverman '00 will be showing a series of new paintings at the Delaware History Museum as part of the Wilmington Art Loop. The show includes affordably-priced original paintings and a selection of signed archival prints at a variety of price points to help you find the perfect, one of a kind gift, just in time for the holiday season. A portion of all sales will be donated to Archmere’s Manor Restoration Fund.
The Wilmington Art Loop runs the first Friday of each month, and is a free, self-guided public event. On Friday, December 6, art lovers will be able to meet Stephanie, view her artwork, and enjoy refreshments and periodic entertainment at the Delaware History Museum.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Originally from Wilmington, DE, Stephanie graduated from Archmere Academy in 2000 and earned her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and a master’s degree in Art Education from the University of the Arts. She has continued her study of painting at the Barnes Foundation, the National Gallery of Art, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), and Moore College of Art & Design.
Though her paintings range in style, media and subject matter, each piece explores Stephanie's endless interest in the interaction of color and light. Whether created "en plein air" (outdoors) or in her home studio, each work of art is an attempt to capture fleeting moments in time and the expressive qualities of the subject. Stephanie's award- winning artwork has been exhibited nationally in galleries and museums and is held in both national and international private collections. Stephanie was most recently commissioned to create the original artwork for the Wilmington Flower Market's 99th Anniversary year this past May.
