Ms. Catherine Souza Presents Webinar on COVID-19 for College Admission Counseling Connects Series
Ms. Catherine Souza, Archmere's Associate Director of College Counseling & Coordinator of Career Programs, presented a webinar this week through their membership organization, the PA Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC). The online workshop, entitled COVID-19 Considerations From Both Sides of the Desk, was part of the PA Association for College Admission Counseling Connects series with Krista Evans, Director of Admissions at Kutztown University. They chatted with admissions reps and school counselors throughout Pennsylvania, offering a glimpse into what “the other side of the desk” may be facing on their campuses.
Description of the Webinar: The current situation surrounding COVID-19 has made us all anxious for certainty and answers. Unfortunately, there is no certainty in sight and limited answers as both high schools and colleges are actively engaged in complex discussions about the many impacts COVID-19 is having on their campuses. This session is designed to give both admission representatives and school and college counselors a glimpse into what the "other side of the desk" may be facing on their campuses. We do our best work on behalf of students when we're collaborating and being open and honest about what our institutions are facing and discussing during these unprecedented times. It is in this spirit of information sharing that we designed this session and hope you'll find you feel better just knowing what campuses are facing and talking about even if we don't have all the answers just yet.
