Three Questions with a Career Professional

Archmere’s College Counseling Office’s Three Questions with a Career Professional YouTube series explores different career fields with Archmere community members, such as alumni and parents of current students and alumni.  Ms. Catherine Souza, Associate Director of College Counseling & Coordinator of Career Programs, asks each guest to share their education and career history, what a day in their life looks like, and how students interested in their career field could learn more. Additionally, they share the best piece of advice they’ve received throughout their career.
Brad Denning PP’18 - The Career Series: Consulting
Brad is an Advisory Services Principal at PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He shares his consulting experiences and how a winding road and diverse educational and career experiences brought him to his current role.  His best piece of advice came from a former supervisor that shared, “If you’re not of the mindset that you’re learning every single day, you will become stagnant.  And, if you become stagnant, you’re not really worthwhile.”

Dr. Jill Black P’23 - The Career Series: Physical Therapy
Dr. Jill Black (PT, DPT, EdD, FNAP) has diverse experiences within physical therapy culminating in her current role as Associate Dean of College Health & Human Services and Director of Institute of Physical Therapy at Widener University.  Her best career advice came from her father at just sixteen years old, “Be sure to pick something you like…and that fits your calling and passion.”

Marc Ross ‘91 - The Career Series: Sports Management
Archmere Class of 1991 alumnus and current Board of Trustee member, Marc Ross, currently works as an NFL Network Analyst and has spent his entire career in the world of sports.  He shares how students can best prepare themselves for a career in sports management and the value of doing the work each day to move up the ladder.  His career proves that you don’t start with an exciting role in front of the camera. Instead, you start as an intern, as he did for the New York Giants, and slowly expand your career to prepare you for more prominent and challenging roles.
