Boys and Girls Lacrosse Teams Boast Big Wins

Last week, the Archmere girls lacrosse team took on Polytech, winning 19-5. Archmere scored seven of the first eight goals. Bridget McGonigle '21 and Alexandra Harrington '22 each scored seven times for the Auks. Archmere, now 4-1 after another victory against St. Andrew's, will face Wilmington Friends on Monday April 19th at home. 
 
The boys lacrosse team took on previously undefeated Delaware Military Academy, winning 13-4. Ryan Farrell '21 and Jack O’Neill '23 each notched hat tricks. The team played in memory of former Archmere student Anthony Penna '19. During the game, money was raised for the Anthony Penna Charitable Fund, which supports students involved in their school’s band, choir and theater programs. The team will travel to Appoquinimink High School on Tuesday, April 20th to take on the Jaguars.
