Archmere Hosts First Annual Multicultural Open House

On October 13, 2021, Archmere Academy hosted its inaugural Multicultural Open House on campus. The Archmere Admissions team, along with Mrs. Danyele Dove ’93, Director of Equity and Inclusion, welcomed prospective students and their families in the Learning Commons, and spoke about the diversity, equity and inclusion programming at Archmere. Prospective families were also given an individualized campus tour.
The panel consisted of students and families at Archmere who come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, as well as those who speak languages other than English. Attendees not only learned about high school admissions at Archmere, but also the diversity, equity and inclusion programming available to our current students.

Dr. Ernest Addo, Archmere Academy board member and current parent to a member of the Class of 2022 and the Class of 2024, and recent graduate Brian Carbajal '21, answered questions and spoke to the audience. They were joined by current students Dylan Addo '22, Mandy Jiang '22, Simi Edeki '22, Claire O'Dwyer '23, Chinwendu Emedoh '23 and Onyinyechi Kenine '22.
