Girls Soccer Defeats Ursuline, Heads to Semifinals

On May 26th the #2 ranked Archmere girls soccer team defeated #10 Ursuline 1-0 in the quarterfinal game of the DIAA State Tournament. Played at home, the game was a tight battle up until the end of the second half, when Marina Mahon '25 sent a corner kick right to Emma Gioffre '23, who was able to knock it past the Raiders goaltender. The game was a defensive battle with both teams vying for the semifinal spot, but Archmere was able to hold off the Raiders until the end. The team is now 13-2-1.
Archmere will play #3 Saint Mark's at home on Wednesday, June 1 at 4:00pm. Tickets must be purchased on the DIAA website in advance of the game: https://gofan.co/app/school/DIAA
