The 134 members of the class have submitted more than 1,000 transcript requests to date and we expect a few more to come. They’ve been diligent in meeting our deadlines, which as a a group is good for College Counseling, and as individuals, is a terrific practice. Decisions from rolling admission and early-rolling schools have begun to trickle out and we have many happy seniors.
In next cycle's College Seminar class we will discuss all possible application decisions, healthy and strategic reactions to these decisions, and how to support classmates through the process. Early action and early decision releases the weeks prior to the holiday break are never ideal. We inform students and wish to make it clear to families that the college counseling office will be checking emails over the holidays, and can be available for conversations to assist in understanding decisions and help with possible changes in application plans.
Class of 2024
We commenced the college search process this week with a wonderful Junior Panel program. We welcomed admission representatives from Cabrini, Georgia Tech, Drexel, Rhodes, and the University of Delaware to talk to students about the college search, application, and decision process. Almost 200 attendees asked wonderful questions, engaged our guests, and importantly, impressed our admissions friends. Junior Introductory Meetings (students only) will begin after the Thanksgiving break. Junior Parent Nights are on December 12th and January 10th; one parent is asked to come to one of the two programs. They are identical, jokes and all, so please do not register for both.
