Honors Theology Seminar Students Visit Philadelphia

Archmere's Honors Theology Seminar students took a trip into Philadelphia on Friday, December 9 to visit the Museum of Art and the Rodin Museum. As they made their way through the wings and galleries, students gathered inspiration for their semester-ending capstone projects. These projects have students exploring ideas and questions raised by the artwork, while the pieces will also help students more fully consider their chosen topics. Positive reviews were also registered for the museum's newly renovated cafe.

Full "STEAM" Ahead: Innovative 3D Printed Jewelry Designs by Kelsey Joyce '23

Senior Kelsey Joyce '23 recently designed and 3D printed a pair of wearable 3D printed earrings in her AP Studio Art class. After completing a series of drawings and models in air dry clay, Kelsey then translated her design concept into TinkerCAD, a free open source 3d modeling software. The design was exported as an STL file, a tool path that the Art & Design department's 3D printer can read and translate into three dimensions. The earrings were 3D printed and then Kelsey added a gold finish before adding the hardware to complete her wearable earrings.
