Maile Gutsche '23 Wins Eastern Division of MTNA Senior Voice Competition

Delaware Soprano Maile Gutsche is a Division Winner in the MTNA Senior Voice Competition

Maile Gutsche, a resident of Arden, will compete as a National Finalist in the MTNA Senior Voice Competition. Gutsche, the daughter of Oliver and Annie Gutsche, earned this opportunity after winning the Eastern Division of the Senior Voice Competition. A senior at Archmere Academy, Gutsche has been studying voice for 4 years and is currently a student of Mary Ellen Schauber.
The soprano began studying piano in early childhood, and singing at age 14. She has been awarded 1st place at the Greater Philadelphia National Association of Teachers of Singing student auditions for Classical Treble Voice. She has served as soloist for school concerts, theater productions, liturgical services, and various philanthropic fund-raising events. Maile practices kenpo karate, enjoys reading, and has a passion for learning many languages.
 
The national winner of this competition receives a cash prize and will perform in a Winners Concert during the MTNA National Conference.
 
The three-tiered MTNA competitions begin at the state level. Winners of each State Competition advance to the video-only division competition. Division winners then proceed to the National Competition Finals.
