Welcome New Alumni Council Members

Introducing the newly appointed
Archmere Academy Alumni Council members:

Michael Blahusch '04
Alexis Furlong '06
David Kubacki '92 (second term)
Dennis Lynch '82 (second term)
Diane Latini-McIntyre '84
* Terms commence July 1, 2016 and conclude on June 30, 2019

The Alumni Council opened nominations to the alumni community from May 20th to May 27th. Traditionally, an election is held each year to determine which nominees will serve on the Alumni Council. This year, there were five vacant seats and five nominees. Therefore, an election was not necessary. The Alumni Council has appointed two current members who will carry out their second terms, as we welcome three new members to join us for their first term.

Diane Latini-McIntyre ‘84
Diane graduated from Archmere in 1984 and went on to receive her BS in Fashion Merchandising from Philadelphia University. Diane has been employed by ABBVIE for the last seventeen years and currently promotes Humira (adalimumab) to Gastroenterologists in the Philadelphia area. Diane is also very active with the Crohn’s and Colitis foundation of America.

She currently resides in Glen Mills, PA. Her oldest son Nicholas graduated from Archmere in 2015 and is currently attending Lehigh University. Her younger son Kyle is a senior at Archmere. Her daughter Lauren is in 7th grade at St. Cornelius in Chadds Ford. We hope to see her graduate from Archmere in 2020.

 I credit Archmere for much of my success today but also have seen what a phenomenal school it is as a current parent. I am looking forward to assisting to shape the future of Archmere on the Alumni Council.”

Michael Blahusch ‘04
After graduating from Archmere in 2004, Michael attended Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and earned his BA degree in Food Marketing. During his time at SJU, he had the pleasure of playing division-1 varsity baseball where he ended his career as a two-time captain of the program.

After graduating from St. Joe’s, he entered into the business world with an international structural engineering company, EFS Structures. During his time EFS, he returned to Hawk Hill to pursue his MBA with a concentration in Finance. After completing his MBA in 2010, he accepted a Financial Advisor role with ING Financial Partners (now VOYA Financial) in Philadelphia. Proudly serving as a nationally credited CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, he manages a team of financial planners based out of Center City Philadelphia. Michael and his wife recently purchased their first home in Lancaster County where they are excited to start the next chapter of their lives.

“My goal is to reengage with the Archmere community, be a vibrant participant in the Alumni Council, and help give back to a community that gave so much to me.”
