The Ryan Family Completes Charitable Bike Ride for Juvenile Diabetes

Archmere graduates Liz '82, Justin '81 and Tim Ryan '84 participated in this year's Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Ride to Cure Diabetes. The JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes is a charitable bike ride that raises money for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Liz, Justin and Tim completed the race, held in Saratoga Springs, NY the week of September 14-17th. The Ryan's joined hundreds of riders who came together from all over the world to help raise money to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. This year, there were five Rides to Cure Diabetes across the country. The Rides, which occur August through November, each offer a unique and unforgettable experience and multiple route options ranging from 32 to 100 miles. In addition to NY, locations included Amelia Island, FL, Loveland, CO, La Crosse, WI and Tucson, AZ.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that impacts millions of people around the world, including members of the Ryan family.
When you ride for JDRF, you are helping JDRF fund critical T1D research across the globe in support of their mission: to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.
