Dr. Sharon Archer Named High School Teacher of the Year

Archmere’s AP and Honor’s Chemistry teacher, Dr. Sharon Archer, has been named the High School Teacher of the Year by the Executive Committee of the Delaware Section of the American Chemical Society. This achievement recognizes Dr. Archer’s “hard work and dedication to the field of Chemistry.” In 1991, Archmere's Director of Technology and former chemistry teacher, Carl Campion, also received the award. 

With more than 161,000 members, the American Chemical Society (ACS) is the world’s largest scientific society and one of the world’s leading sources of authoritative scientific information. ACS plays a leadership role in educating and communicating with public policy makers and the general public about the importance of chemistry in our lives. This includes identifying new solutions, improving public health, protecting the environment and contributing to the economy. Dr. Archer will be recognized on March 21st at the DuPont Country Club, where she will receive her award.
