Archmere Fall Play "Middletown" Receives Acclaim

The Cappies program brought twenty-seven students from the Greater Philadelphia area to Archmere on Friday evening to review the fall play production of Middletown. In this program, the students each write a review, and the best three reviews are published in local newspapers and on the Cappies website. Archmere's depiction of Will Eno's Middletown received rave reviews. "Despite Will Eno's poetic, extistential, and difficult script, Archmere’s cast completed the show with superb timing and animated characters" writes a Cappies team reviewer. "The talented actors and actresses in Archmere Academy’s production anchored the performance. The cast’s subtle energy helped them to create relatable characters and was suitable for the mood of the play."

Over twenty-five Archmere students took part in the fall play production. Juniors Catherine Lawless and Eli Hunsinger performed as leads Mary Swanson and John Dodge. Juniors Keelin Reilly, Malcolm Odum, and sophomore Giavanna Mariano played featured townspeople.
