Rugby Competes For Championship Title
Just four years after starting its rugby program, Archmere once again looks to reach the pinnacle of the sport this week. On Saturday, May 7th, the Auks' rugby team won the first of two state championships. The team competed in sevens rugby against Salesianum for the cup and prevailed 39-0. This Thursday, May 12th, Archmere will face Salesianum again in fifteens rugby at Alapocas at 5pm for the first ever fifteens state championship match. The match will be the first annual Tyler Brown Cup, held in memorial of Salesianum student Tyler Brown who lost his life in March.
