Juniors Ivy Adams and Arlene Chiu Take National Chemistry Olympiad Exam

On Wednesday, April 17, Archmere hosted the Delaware National Chemistry Olympiad Exam sponsored by the Delaware section of the American Chemical Society. The top chemistry students across the state competed for a spot on the US National Olympiad Team based on their chemistry problem-solving skills and laboratory techniques. Several students from Archmere participated in the Delaware Chemistry Olympiad. Ivy Adams ‘25 and Arlene Chiu '25 scored high enough to qualify for the National Chemistry Olympiad. In addition, Grace Yang ’25 was top ten in the state. 
Ivy and Arlene, along with eight other students from Delaware schools, participated in the day long exam at Archmere. The national exam included a multiple-choice section, a free response section, and a self-directed laboratory exercise. Advancing to the National level is an extraordinary accomplishment. Congratulations to Ivy and Arlene!
