Christine Ford '16 Wins 2015 Congressional Art Award

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district.  Archmere Junior Christine Ford was selected to receive this year's Congressional Art Award and represent the state of Delaware in the Congressional Arts program.  Her painting, Fanta Naranja, will hang for a year in the U.S. Capitol alongside all other state winners.

Delaware has only one congressional district and therefore only one work is selected each year. At the awards ceremony on February 7, 2015, Congressman Carney will congratulate Christine personally onstage and present her with a certificate.
