If you attended Archmere Academy, you are automatically part of the Alumni Association. As an Archmere alum, you are the school’s living history – you carry with you the traditions and heritage that make Archmere unique. You came here to learn and grow as a young adult, receive an immeasurable education, and prepare yourself for college. As a member of the Alumni Association, we ask that you keep in contact and encourage you to be active within the Archmere community.
 
Your insight is key to continuing the momentum of an active alumni program offering alumni networking, social opportunities, programming to connect with current Archmere students, and more. All of which contributes to a stronger and more spirited Archmere community.

  • One Hundred and Twenty-Six Archmere Academy Students Earn AP Scholar Awards

    One hundred and twenty-six students at Archmere Academy have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP Exams. The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program (AP) provides willing and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams. About 25 percent of the more than 2.66 million students worldwide who took AP Exams performed at a sufficiently high level to also earn an AP Scholar Award. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performance on AP Exams.

  • Archmere Academy Commencement Exercises

    Archmere Academy welcomed 129 alumni into its ranks during Commencement ceremonies on June 1st in the newly renovated Rocco A. and Mary Abessinio Performing Arts Center. The Baccalaureate Liturgy & Commencement Exercises were also live streamed for friends and family to view on the Archmere YouTube Channel.

  • Dr. Andrew Wozniak ’96 and Team First to Witness Volcanic Eruption in Ocean Ridge

    Dr. Andrew Wozniak ’96, Associate Professor in the University of Delaware’s School of Marine Science and Policy, and his team of scientists, recently witnessed a rare seafloor eruption 1,300 miles west of Costa Rica. This was the first time scientists had witnessed a clearly active eruption along the mid-ocean ridge, a volcanic mountain chain that stretches about 40,000 miles around the globe.

  • National Art Honor Society Completes Collaborative Mural Project with Mary Campbell Center Residents

    The Mary Campbell Center’s Charmie Welch Hallway, which houses its Learning Center, Physical Development and Aquatics areas, recently received a vibrant makeover with the installation of the Center’s first resident-created mural. Led by Archmere Academy alumna and granddaughter of MCC co-founders Charles E. Welch and Charma Welch, Stephanie Welch Silverman ‘00, the collaborative wall mural was created in several phases with a variety of community groups over several months. Measuring 88 feet in length, the collaborative mural on display features the creative contributions of Mary Campbell Center Residents, descendants of the Welch family, and Archmere Academy art students.
