Our Mission
Archmere Academy is a Catholic, Norbertine college preparatory school, valuing community, respect, zeal, reverence, and wisdom. Nurturing body and soul, mind and heart, Archmere focuses on the whole person through academic excellence, faith reflection, social development, and service to others. Inspired by its heritage, Archmere cultivates empathetic leaders- young men and women prepared for every good work.

Since opening its doors in 1932, Archmere Academy is known for its rigorous academic program. The academic disciplines foster critical thinking skills, strengthen analytical reasoning, and foster intellectual creativity through each department. Parents and caregivers choose Archmere for their children because choosing our door opens others. Students choose Archmere because of the opportunities available to them.

Michael Liu ’26 Wins Harry Hammond Scholarship
Read MoreThe Harry Hammond Scholarship is an award given to the top three boys and girls in the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour. This year’s first place Harry Hammond Scholarship Award winner is Michael Liu ’26. The scholarship is given in honor of Harry Hammond, a Master Professional and the Director of Golf at Penn Oaks Golf Club. To be eligible, the student athletes had to not only participate in the Harry Hammond Invitational tournament, they also needed to submit an essay. -

Valentina Ramos '26 Wins "Student of the Week" Online Poll
Archmere junior Valentina Ramos has been named the first "Delaware Student of the Week" by an online poll. Similar to the long-running "athlete-of-the-week" feature that honors athletic achievement alongside reader voting, Delaware Online/The News Journal is honoring a "Delaware Student of the Week" across high schools. The award highlights academic work, extracurricular activities, volunteerism, and perseverance -important qualities that make up the lives of young scholars.Read More
