Archmere Academy is a Catholic, Norbertine college preparatory school, valuing community, respect, zeal, reverence, and wisdom. Nurturing body and soul, mind and heart, Archmere focuses on the whole person through academic excellence, faith reflection, social development, and service to others. Inspired by its heritage, Archmere cultivates empathetic leaders- young men and women prepared for every good work.

Since opening its doors in 1932, Archmere Academy is known for its rigorous academic program. The academic disciplines foster critical thinking skills, strengthen analytical reasoning, and foster intellectual creativity through each department.   • Miles Kempski '24 throws for a pass in the State Championship

    Miles Kempski '24 Leads Auks to Football Championship; Team Places Second in the State

    The Archmere football team piled up 463 yards to rally for a 56-28 victory on its home field on Saturday, November 28th against Woodbridge in the DIAA Division II semifinals, earning them a trip to the State Championship game. Second-seeded Archmere played top seed Caravel for the Division II state title on Saturday, December 2nd at 3:00pm at the University of Delaware, taking second place to the Buccaneers in the State Championship. Throughout the season, Archmere was led by quarterback Miles Kempski '24, who did a little bit of everything.

    Art & Design Department Chair Stephanie Silverman ’00 Appointed to NAEA Steering Committee, Featured National Panelist

    Archmere Art & Design Department Chair Mrs. Stephanie Silverman ’00 was recently invited by the National Art Education Association President, Mario Rossero, to serve on a Steering Committee for the organization to support the national membership and identify opportunities for organizational growth and change. Mrs. Silverman is one of four invited panelists for a special session titled, Art and Design Educators: Change Agents in Redesigning Education, at the forthcoming April 2024 NAEA Convention in Minneapolis, MN.

  • Miles Kempski '24 Nominated for Athlete of the Week

    Archmere senior and football standout Miles Kempski rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns and passed for 171 yards and two more touchdowns in a 56-28 Class 2A semifinal win over Woodbridge last weekend. He has been nominated by Delaware Online for Athlete of the Week. The quarterback has lead the Archmere football team to its third State Championship appearance in four years. This Saturday, Archmere will play Caravel at 3:00pm on Saturday, December 2nd for the title. Athlete of the Week winners will be announced on Friday, December 1st.
