Archmere Academy is a Catholic, Norbertine college preparatory school, valuing community, respect, zeal, reverence, and wisdom. Nurturing body and soul, mind and heart, Archmere focuses on the whole person through academic excellence, faith reflection, social development, and service to others. Inspired by its heritage, Archmere cultivates empathetic leaders- young men and women prepared for every good work.

Since opening its doors in 1932, Archmere Academy is known for its rigorous academic program. The academic disciplines foster critical thinking skills, strengthen analytical reasoning, and foster intellectual creativity through each department.   •  Zinah Avendano Flores '27

    Zinah Avendano Flores '27 Highlighted on Broadcast Journalism Podcast

    Since 1968, KYW Newsradio has given high school students the opportunity to learn about broadcast journalism through the Newstudies student reporter program. This month, Archmere junior Zinah Avendano Flores was selected to participate in the KYW Newstudies program and her excerpt was featured on a podcast on December 14th. Zinah's KYW story was an interview with fellow Archmere junior Tanisha Khandelwal, and Tanisha's work with LiquidHope, a student-led organization that aims to supply patients with medically prescribed thickened liquids without a worry of the cost. Newstudies is sponsored by Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication.

  • Winter Track Team Opens Season with 32 Personal Best Times

    The Winter Track & Field season kicked off last weekend with a Quad Meet, held at Tower Hill. The team recorded a combined 32 personal "bests" and took wins in the Girls Shot Put (Kindred Ballard), Girls 1600m (Riley Horsey), Girls 3200m (Ella Taggart), and Boys 800m (Owen Parsons).

  • Boys Basketball Defeats Concord High School

    "Archmere used a strong defensive game and a series of high-percentage shots to take control of Concord in what resulted in a 43-33 win on Dec. 12 at Moglia Fieldhouse. The Auks needed a fourth-quarter comeback to defeat Tower Hill in their season opener a few days prior, but the script was different this time. Archmere kept pounding the ball inside against the taller Raiders, picking up offensive rebounds when they did miss shots, and scoring most of their points inside the paint."
