List of 3 items.

  • Prior to Enrollment

Prospective students and families can interact with Learning Support throughout the admissions process:
    • At an Open House
    • During shadow days
    • On Entrance Exam testing days
    • At any time, by reaching out to the Learning Specialist via phone or email

Prospective students should upload their current (ideally within 3 years) evaluation, IEP, 504, and other relevant documentation to the admissions portal (School Admin) with their application to be considered for extended time on the Entrance Exam. The Learning Specialist will confirm that accommodations are approved prior to the exam date.
  • After Enrollment

Welcome to Archmere! We’re thrilled you’ll be joining us! Incoming students and families can interact with Learning Support at:
    • New Student Orientation in the spring
    • Summer Enrichment
    • At any time, by reaching out to the Learning Specialist via phone or email

During the summer prior to a student’s first year at Archmere, Learning Support staff will email all incoming families who have uploaded educational documentation to the admissions portal (School Admin) to arrange an FEP (Formal Education Plan) meeting. Prior to the meeting, Learning Support staff will review all documentation and create an individualized plan detailing accommodations at Archmere. This meeting is also an opportunity to discuss each student’s individual needs and answer any questions. These meetings are typically held during the two weeks of Summer Enrichment or the week prior to the start of school to ensure the information is fresh in students’ minds and teachers have advance notice of accommodations prior to the first day of class.
  • When School Begins

All new students with FEPs (Formal Education Plan) will have a consistent, scheduled meeting with the Learning Specialist during a free period, Work Period, or before/after school. These meetings will continue throughout the school year with a frequency tailored to the needs of each student. Students can also request meetings as-needed or drop in to the Learning Specialist’s office.

Summer Enrichment

Summer Enrichment is a two-week introductory program that helps acclimate incoming 9th-grade students to the Archmere experience. Students come to campus for a shortened day and take classes in four subjects: English, Math, Science, and Organizational Skills. These classes are taught by Archmere faculty and allow students to familiarize themselves with Archmere’s campus, computer systems, and faculty/staff as well as forge some social connections with peers. It’s a great way to jump-start the year! Contact Admissions for more information.
