If you attended Archmere Academy, you are already part of the Alumni Association. As an Archmere alum, you are the school’s living history – you carry the traditions and heritage that make Archmere unique with you. You came here to learn and grow as a young adult, receive an immeasurable education, and prepare yourself for college. 
 
Your insight is key to continuing the momentum of an active alumni program, which will offer alumni networking and social opportunities that will contribute to a stronger and more spirited Archmere community.

  • Archmere Football Celebrates State Championship Win at the White House

    Archmere Academy, the undefeated Class 2A Football Champions, accepted an invitation from 1961 graduate President Joe Biden to visit the White House on the Fourth of July to celebrate their State Championship. Not only did they meet the President, they received tours of the White House, took pictures in the Oval Office, and spent the evening on the South Lawn attending concerts and fireworks. President Biden had issued the invitation to the team in a surprise videotaped message that was played at a school celebration a few days after the State Championship game.

  • Ms. Rachel Van Wylen and her mural project, “On the Brandywine”

    Archmere Art Teacher, Alumna Participate in Trolley Square Mural Project

    Ms. Rachel Van Wylen, Archmere Art Teacher and 2014 Archmere graduate Haley Moore were chosen to design murals for the first-ever Trolley Square Public Utility Mural Project. This spring, both Ms. Van Wylen and Haley applied for the project through the Delaware Avenue Community Association. The Association sponsored the spring 2022 project, tasking local artists and the local street art group with the opportunity to paint murals on public utility boxes in the Trolley Square neighborhood. Known as “The Murals Project”, the artistic additions are meant to “increase neighborhood spirit in Trolley Square and Forty Acres, and promote the area as an art destination,” according to City Councilman Nathan Field.

  • 88th Archmere Academy Commencement Exercises

    Archmere Academy welcomed 126 alumni into its ranks during Commencement ceremonies on June 5th in the Performing Arts Center. The Baccalaureate Liturgy & Commencement Exercises were also live streamed for friends and family to view on the Archmere YouTube Channel.

  • Stephanie Silverman '00

    Stephanie Silverman '00 Selected as NAEA-Crayola Creativity Ambassador

    Archmere Academy Art Department Chair and Art Teacher, Mrs. Stephanie Silverman '00, was recently informed that she was selected as a NAEA-Crayola Creativity Ambassador. Mrs. Silverman is among 75 visual arts education professionals who will engage in a leadership collaboration with the National Art Education Association (NAEA) and Crayola Education. As a NAEA Crayola Creativity Ambassadors, she will participate in Crayola Creative Leadership professional learning sessions and receive Crayola resources and materials to help implement this program within Archmere. The partnership also gives Mrs. Silverman the opportunity to be an early adopter of the January 2023 Crayola Creativity Week while participating in special leadership team-building experiences in preparation of the nationwide Creativity Week celebration.
