Four Archmere Academy student-athletes have earned the opportunity to compete on the national stage after qualifying for this summer’s premier track and field championship meets.
Representing the Auks at the national level will be Cecilia DePalma, Marlise Harris, Riley Horsey, and Alaina Thomas, who each qualified in multiple events through their outstanding performances this season.

Cecelia DePalma will compete at Adidas Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina, qualifying in four events: the 100-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles, long jump, and triple jump.

Marlise Harris earned her spot at Nike Nationals in Eugene, Oregon, where she will compete in the 400-meter hurdles. Riley Horsey will also represent Archmere at Nike Nationals, qualifying in the 2K steeplechase and the one-mile run.

Alaina Thomas will compete at Adidas Nationals after qualifying in the 800-meter run and one-mile run.

Archmere is proud to have these athletes represent the Auks among the nation’s top track and field competitors. Congratulations to Cecilia, Marlise, Riley, and Alaina — we are excited to cheer you on at Nationals! 💚
