Boys Soccer Shuts Out Brandywine on Homecoming Weekend

The Archmere boys soccer team earned a 2-0 victory over Brandywine High School on Saturday, October 10, securing a Homecoming weekend win on the Lower Turf.
After a scoreless first half, the Auks broke through in the 49th minute when Jackson Spruance '29 found the back of the net to give Archmere the lead. Goalkeeper Dean Sheehan '28 came up with a diving save to help preserve the advantage as Brandywine continued to press.

With nine minutes remaining, Ryan Fiss '30 added an insurance goal, redirecting a crossing pass into the net to extend the lead to 2-0. Sheehan finished with five saves, while the Auks’ defense held firm through the final whistle to secure the shutout.

The victory marked a strong Homecoming weekend performance for the Auks, who look to carry that momentum into their next matchup against Tatnall on October 15.

Congratulations to our players and coaches on the win!
