Zidane Brena '26 Signs with Queens University of Charlotte Lacrosse Team

Zidane “Z” Brena, native of Hockessin, DE and senior at Archmere Academy, is pleased to announce the signing of his National Intent Letter to play college lacrosse at the Queens University of Charlotte. Queens University is a Division I private university in Charlotte, North Carolina. Head Coach Nik Colpitt is excited about building another successful lacrosse team in the ASUN Conference with Zidane on the roster. A varsity starter since he transferred his sophomore year, Zidane has been a standout in goal for the Auks.
Zidane plays an instrumental role on the Archmere boys lacrosse team. The lead goalie that helped advance the team to the Diamond State Athletic Conference championships and multiple playoff appearances, Zidane is renowned as one of the best goalies in the state, a role that has a major effect on wins and losses. Taking pride in the chance to make a stop on defense, even with the pressure stacked against him, Zidane has embraced his role as a leader, earning First Team All-Conference both sophomore and junior year, as well as Second Team All-State junior year.

In addition to playing lacrosse since the 5th grade, Zidane competed in ice hockey in elementary school as well, a sport that prepares athletes to excel on the lacrosse field. Outside of Archmere, Zidane has played for the Brotherly Love Lacrosse Club, and more recently, Mesa Lacrosse. He plans on studying either Finance or Data Analytics at Queens University.
