Students in our new 3D Design Principles elective class are integrating structural studies from their first introductory assignment into their first large scale three dimensional structure, an exploration of repetition and interrelating shapes to explore structure and three dimensional systems. Open to 9th-12th graders, this course introduces students to the foundations of three dimensional design using the the systematic creative problem-solving process known as design thinking, inviting students to explore and develop technical skills in a range of materials for 3D design and fabrication including wood, foamcore, 3D printing, and more!
