Basketball Teams Earn DSAC Honors, Playoff Bids

For the 2025-2026 season, Archmere Academy basketball dominated the Diamond State Athletic Conference (DSAC), with seniors Bridget Malloy and Johnny Orsini named Players of the Year. Both teams secured major honors, including 1st Team selections for Anaya Mungin (Girls) and Khaleef Wilson (Boys), highlighting a strong, championship-focused season.
The girls’ basketball team earned the 9th spot in the DIAA State Championship bracket, and played #24 Appoquinimink on Monday, March 2nd, defeating them 58-26. They moved on to play #8 Caravel Academy on Wednesday, March 4th, in the second round, but were defeated 57-51. Coach Pisani remarked on seniors Bridget Malloy and Maddie Benson, "55 wins, a conference title, 4 trips to the State Tournament with multiple victories despite an always difficult draw, but most importantly, they have helped build an incredible culture that will continue to live on. It's been an honor and blessing to coach Bridget and Maddie."

The boys team earned the 18th spot in the bracket and played #15 Tatnall on the road on Tuesday, March 3rd. The team played an incredibly tough defensive game, but came up short despite a strong battle. They finished their season 15-6. Senior and Conference Player of the Year John Orsini recorded 22 points in the playoff match, while freshman standout Khaleef Wilson added 17 points, four of which were well timed three pointers.
