Mackenzie Popp '20 Organizes Special Art Day

On Saturday, May 7th, Mackenzie Popp '20 organized a "Special Art Day" at Archmere. She invited local families who have children with intellectual disabilities to come and create art with Mr. Terry Newitt, who instructed them and even taught them them some new "techniques".  The kids had a blast and made beautiful pieces. Their artwork will be submitted to the National Down Syndrome Convention.

Sophomores Julia Kochie, Abby Kates, and Annie Penrod helped out with the day. Special guests included Mackenzie's older brother, Brendan, who has Down's Syndrome, and his friends.
