Jessica Pei '20 Finishes in Third Tier of Mandelbrot Math Competition

Archmere sophomore Jessica Pei placed in the Third Tier of the Dogwood Region in this year’s Mandelbrot Math Competition. The Mandelbrot Competition is a series of five rounds of challenging mathematical problem solving questions that take place throughout the school year. Each round consists of seven short answer questions valued by difficulty, and cover a variety of non-calculus topics such as algebra, geometry, exponents, probability, number theory, and inequalities. This year, 25 Archmere students participated.

Jessica was one of 3000 students competing among 200 schools. The competition is comprised of five regions. The Dogwood Region includes 14 states plus several international schools.

Congratulations to Jessica for placing in the Third Tier for individuals in our region!
