Archmere Soccer Opens Season with Win Over Red Lion

The 2019 defending State Champions opened their fall season and made headlines with a win on October 21.  Archmere traveled to Red Lion Christian Academy for their first game, defeating the Lions 8-0. Senior Sam Gattsuo opened the scoring in the 11th minute and followed up with another goal just 8 minutes later. 
In total, the Auks were able to hold Red Lion without a shot while sending 24 of their own to the net. In addition to their shot advantage, the Auks had 10 corner kicks to zero for the Lions. Archmere is 1-0 and will play its home opener on Saturday, October 24 against Caravel. Game time is 11 a.m., but no spectators will be allowed.
