To celebrate el Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), students in Michelle Midgley's and Janna Scheflen's Spanish I classes will complete a virtual escape room in which they try to catch a criminal mastermind stealing precious ofrenda items from the local habitants of Mexico City. In order to solve this mystery and catch the crook, students must complete a series of puzzles by watching Spanish videos and reading Spanish infographics. The students will recognize Día de los Muertos and participate in the virtual escape room on Monday, November 2nd.
Archmere Teacher Mr. Matt Chominski Writes Feature For "Church Life Journal", Presents at Villanova
Mr. Matthew Chominski, Theology Department Chair and Teacher, had an article published in the University of Notre Dame's Church Life Journal. His feature can be found here. The article is titled The Aesthetic Inversion in the Religious Conversion of St. Francis of Assisi.
He also recently presented at Villanova's Patristic, Medieval, and Renaissance Conference. His paper was titled "We Praise Thee": Edith Stein's Empathic Envisioning of Ambrose and Augustine.
